At the 46th Dakar Rally in 2024, the Arctic Leopard Team participated in the inaugural Mission1000 new energy motorcycle class.
Rider Su Wenmin and Arctic Leopard CEO Cai Gangjun piloted the Arctic Leopard EXE 880 electric race bike across thousands of kilometers of brutal desert and Gobi terrain in Saudi Arabia, ultimately securing 1st and 2nd place in the category.
This historic achievement marked the first time a Chinese electric motorcycle brand stood on the top podium of Dakar’s new energy class.
Notably, over 90% of the race bike’s components were independently developed, demonstrating the robust engineering and high-performance capability of domestic electric motorcycles at the world’s premier rally event.
